What a weekend!

Over all the weekend went well.  To recap the week briefly, my husband came to me on Wednesday and said I got us a flea market booth.  My initial reaction was yeah okay, have fun with that.  Then on Friday for our booth set up, I got all excited and was thinking we need to go home and find things to sell.  So that is what we did, we ran home and kind of frantically ran through the house looking for random items that we can place at our booth.  I found small items; picture frames, tank tops, some kitchen items.  Bill on the other hand found very large items; air compressors, an engine lift and tools.

Now for interview recall.  I did not get the job, during my third interview which was literally 5 minutes.  Ned the interviewer said that the only way I would not get the job is if they hired one of the other candidates right out of school, with no experience for $10 an hour, instead of me with 3.5 years experience for $14 an hour.  As I was leaving Ned said that I would receive a call either way to let me know about the position.  I did not hear anything, then I called today and the office manager was in a meeting and would call me before the end of the day. No call=no job.  It only means there is something better out there for me.

For years on Friday nights Bill plays poker with the guys.  So a few months before we got married I figured I will start some kind of regular Friday night routine.  My girlfriend Trisha comes and we watch Grey's Anatomy, eat way too much food and laugh all night long.  This Friday night was a bit different, Bill did not go to poker. Trisha still came and we made tacos, guacamole, ate chips and salsa and watched Grey's.  After Grey's we played around with an online photo editing program.  We made ourselves beautiful.

Here is the before....

....and the after

7am came pretty quickly for our weekend at the flea market.  Lets just say the location will need to do some advertising to get the vendors some customers.  We did not have too many people come through, it made for a very long Saturday and Sunday.

We rushed home and I got ready to go to the city for a meetup with some of the September 2012 wives.  The September 2012 wives facebook group was started as a support board throughout the wedding planning process. We are a group of women all different ages, from all over the country and Canada.

I am not a city driver, it makes me nervous.  I have never been to the part of the city where we were meeting and in the past I have always taken the train.  I was making great time for my 1hr 18min drive to the city.  Then I get on North Ave and missed the location, I circle back around and miss it again.  There are tons of people walking, guys on bikes, people with dogs out on walks, I was a nervous wreck.  I turn around once again, at this point the gas light has been on for over 15 minutes.  I am crying my eyes out, my makeup is smeared and I am really upset at this point all I really wanted to do was go home. Needless to say, I drove around for over 35 minutes trying to find a parking spot, almost ran out of gas before realizing that the pizzeria had valet parking.  PHEW.....I finally made it, late.  It was great company, good laughs, good beer and good pizza.

Catch up

I have never done a blog before please stick around and I will do my best to keep it entertaining.  Over the next few posts i will try to play catch up, with wedding posts, wedding pictures, honeymoon info and life since being married.  I can say this, not much has changed since being married but we are more in love than we were before the wedding.
Interview
I have been out of work since July and this week could change all of that.  After a phone interview Monday, an in office interview Tuesday and today another in office interview I could be returning to work as a medical assistant for an OB/GYN office. It is a part time position 45 hours a week and that is perfect.  I am excited that it is literally 2 turns from our subdivision and that it is a different field.  After 2.5 years of family practice this will be a nice change.  Fingers crossed that it goes well.
Wedding
After a year of planning, we were married on September 1, 2012 in Homer Glen, IL at DiNolfo's Banquets.  It was a elegant yet fun affair.  We had about 135 people in attendance for the ceremony and a few more than that for our reception.  It has been by the far the greatest day of my life.
